Derriford Hospital is a large teaching hospital in Plymouth, England. The hospital serves Plymouth and nearby areas of Devon and Cornwall. It also provides tertiary cardiothoracic surgery, neurosurgery and renal transplant surgery for the whole of the South West Peninsula

Normally meets last Wednesday in the month in Brixton Community Centre. All Sherford residents are welcome to attend whether or not resident in the Parish area (ie pay South Hams Council Tax). Those living in the South Hams are eligible to apply at elections to be Councillors. The PC leads on helping Sherford develop its own Town Council. Posts information about planning applications, roads etc on the Brixton Parish Council noticeboard.
Manages roads and highways in Devon. Deals with health and social care provision, libraries, education and many other services. Roads in Sherford are managed by the developers for the first two years before Devon County Council adopts them.
Undertakes weekly waste collection for the whole of Sherford. This may change in future to SHDC but residents will be advised ahead of this. Plymouth also leads on healthcare support within Plymouth boundaries.
Manages the complex S106 Sherford agreement with all the Developers. Hosts regular Director level meetings with Developers. Responsible for planning applications for South Hams and all Sherford.
