Sherford Community Hub

Welcome to our Community Hub at Sherford. We are based in the heart of the new town next to Sherford Vale School on Hercules Road. The Community Hub is a portable building and can offer a flexible space for community events, activities and groups. It is also available for external organisations to hire.

About the Hub

The building’s opening times are 9am to 9pm.

Community ‘not-for-profit’ users’ day rate is 9am – 5pm and morning, afternoon and evening sessions are for a 3-hour period.

Which room do I need?

The Main Hall holds 40 people around tables Café Style or 60 people Theatre Style. However, the maximum number of people in the building at any one time should not exceed 60 for Fire Safety purposes. 

Meeting Room/Library will be offering a self-service library facility and occasional meeting room hire space for up to 8-10 people.

The Office is available as a 1:1 private space for hot-desking and small groups up to 5 people.

The Kitchen is available as shared space for any room booking and is equipped for catering and refreshments with all modern cooking and storage facilities.

There is limited parking outside the hub. The 2A Stagecoach bus which serves the Plymouth area stops at the top of School Square.

The fire assembly point is outside the front of the building on the pavement in front of the hub fencing.
