Get Involved as a Volunteer with Sherford Community Land Trust.

At Sherford Community Land Trust (SCLT), we recognise and truly value the important role volunteers play in helping to build a thriving, connected community. Volunteering with us is not just about giving your time—it’s an opportunity to learn new skills, meet like-minded people, and make a meaningful difference in the place you call home.

As a community-led organisation, volunteers are at the heart of everything we do. Whether you’re interested in ongoing involvement, lending a hand at one-off events, or offering your expertise for a specific project, there’s a place for everyone. Every contribution matters, and together, our collective efforts support SCLT’s mission to create a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable Sherford.

Volunteer opportunities at the Trust are shaped by the projects and activities we’re working on at any given time. These might include helping with events, supporting the work of the Community Panel or one of our four working groups (Communications; Events, Shops & Amenities; Youth; and Environment & Heritage), assisting with youth initiatives, or helping to engage more residents in community life.

If you’re passionate about making a difference in your local area and would like to explore how you can get involved, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch at info@sherfordtrust.org.uk.
